“Building the first logistics system that serves all people equally.”

Zipline is building the world’s first universal logistics system, delivering healthcare, consumer goods, and food across four continents. Since 2016, it has flown 80M+ autonomous miles, serving homes, hospitals, and businesses in the U.S., Africa, and Japan. Zipline’s two platforms enable long-range and precise home deliveries, helping save lives, cut emissions, and expand economic opportunity.

Business Model

Zipline uses a subscription-based logistics strategy, charging a fixed monthly price per distribution center for unlimited drone deliveries, assuring predictable costs for clients. It began charging each flight and switched to this approach in 2020 for scalability. Its primary customers include governments, hospitals, shops (Walmart, Sweetgreen), and agricultural companies, which use drones to deliver medical supplies, food, and consumer items. Drone manufacture, maintenance, infrastructure (Zip Hubs), and regulatory compliance all come at a cost.  .

Zipline is transforming logistics with on-demand, autonomous delivery on a large scale, thanks to FAA clearances, high-volume automation, and sustainable electric drone technology.
